With the popularity of condominiums
in the State of Florida, consumers
should be aware of the basics of
condominium living. The Florida
Department of Business and
Professional Regulation, Division of
Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile
Homes, have created a pamphlet
summarizing the condominium concept.
The pamphlet is designed to increase
a potential condominium purchaser’s
awareness of the condominium
concept.This publication is designed to
provide persons unfamiliar with
condominiums with information on
some of the basic rights and
responsibilities provided in Chapter
718, Florida Statutes, The
Condominium Act, and the related
administrative rules.
This is a general introduction to
the nature of condominium living. It

unfamiliar with condominiums with
some of the more fundamental
concepts involved.
Condominiums are frequently created
by converting apartments or hotels
into condominiums. This brochure
provides information on condominiums
created by conversion of existing

requirements, and information that
should be considered prior to making
